Topic: Change is a Team Sport: Leadership Tools to Build Capacity for Adaptability and Innovation

Speaker: Stephanie Fleming, Viri Group

Traditional change management assessment tools do not take into consideration the critical role teams and team dynamics play in the successful implementation of change strategies.

In this session, you will walk away with:

  • Understanding how measuring and cultivating team health can prime employees for greater engagement in change work, now and into the future.
  • The 4 Team Archetypes -- why creating conditions for team psychological safety is foundational to a successful change strategy.
  • Practices for building team psychological safety you can incorporate into your change plans now.
About Our Speaker:

Stephanie’s passion is guiding organizations and teams through challenging situations and change. She works with leaders and teams to develop holistic strategies that also address internal barriers to successful implementation.

She brings a combination of marketing, change management, and human-centered design to her approach in helping teams co-create strategies that they own and can adapt as conditions change.

Stephanie’s industry experience includes executive and P&L positions with start-ups, nonprofits, and Fortune 500 companies such as: Time Warner, National Geographic Channel, Verizon, and Black & Decker where she built a track record of creating high-performing teams in VUCA environments.

Her quest to unearth barriers to peak performance and “flow” led her to be a part of the invitation-only first cohort in North America to complete training and become certified from The Fearless Organization in psychological safety team development. She has found creating conditions for team psychological safety is fundamental for healthy and sustainable performance, collaboration, and innovation – and is a must for any change leader’s toolkit.

Stephanie is also a Prosci change practitioner and former ACMP PNW board member.
