Thought Leadership Team

The volunteer members of the Thought Leadership Team (TLT) are recognized and accomplished change management professionals who are giving back to their profession by creating a community of practice in which to learn, share, and innovate.

The TLT is comprised of three committees: Planning, Education, and Community Outreach. Members take deep dives on rotating topics, and are accountable for sharing back with the broader ACMP PNW community through chapter learning events and communication.

We are a small but mighty group. To find out more about the criteria for membership and the “rules of engagement”, please read on!

Required Organizational Support

We believe it is imperative the organization you work for support your efforts given the time commitment required – some organizations allow employees to take “community service” time off for volunteer work. Yours might be one of them!
We highly suggest speaking with your direct manager for approval. Your TLT work could serve double duty toward accomplishing your performance management goals as well.
We have also found the more you include the senior leaders of your organization, the better the experience is for you as well as for the organization you represent.

Criteria for TLT Membership

Nomination by TLT Member in good standing
ACMP Member in good standing
Recognized CMO/COE Leader or CM Program Leader
No more than 2 individuals per organization attending meetings; option to rotate larger #
All PNW Chapter Board Members are automatically included
Total team size does not exceed 30 members
Total team make-up to not exceed 40% consultants
TLT Members who have professionally retired are still welcome on the team

If you are interested in learning more about the TLT, becoming a member, hosting a meeting, or just asking a question, please contact our TLT Director.

Meeting Cadence

There will be a minimum of one half-day session each year. This session is intended to be face-to-face, at a time and location determined by the TLT Planning Team.
There will be a minimum of 3 virtual sessions each year. The length of these sessions will depend upon the topics that need to be brought forth.
TLT workgroup sub-teams will meet as necessary, at their own cadence, either virtually or in person.

Required Commitment

Active participation in one of TLTs workgroup sub-teams: Community Outreach, Education, or Thought Leadership Planning
The average time commitment per TLT member is fifteen to forty hours per year. (You can use these hours as PDUs toward renewing your CCMPTM!)
Attending at least one of TLT events/meetings a year. The average time commitment per TLT member is fifteen to forty hours per year depending on your level of volunteer activity.
