Topic: Creating "Safe Enough" Spaces: The Foundation of Data Transformation

Speaker: Christine Haskell, Ph.D.

Join us for an interactive session exploring how our earliest experiences with numbers, math, and technology shape our approach to data transformation today. Through guided exercises and storytelling, we'll uncover our "data biographies" – the personal narratives that influence how we and our teams respond to change.

Drawing from Driving Your Self-Discovery, participants will:

    • Explore the connection between childhood experiences and workplace behaviors around data
    • Transform limiting beliefs like, “I'm just not a numbers person,” into growth opportunities
    • Learn what “safe-enough” means, and practice creating the right environment through storytelling and active listening
    • Learn practical techniques for fostering vulnerability in data-intensive environments

This hands-on workshop helps change leaders recognize patterns in their organization's resistance to new tools while building the foundation for successful transformation. Come prepared to share, reflect, and discover how understanding our data stories can create safer spaces for change.

    Geared To:

    • Change leaders seeking practical tools for building psychological safety
    • Leaders managing data transformation initiatives (and potentially encountering resistance)
    • Teams interested in understanding the human side of data change
