Topic: How to Facilitate Psychological Safety and Participation

Learn how to increase engagement in the groups you facilitate. In this highly interactive session, Jeff will show you how to create psychological safety and buy-in, as well as increase the energy level in the room. You’ll try several engagement techniques and receive tip sheets to take home.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER:

Jeff Oltmann is a seasoned leader with over 30 years of experience advising clients, managing successful programs, and developing new products. His specialties include strategy deployment, operational and project excellence, and project portfolio management. As principal consultant at Synergy Professional Services, Jeff advises leaders and teams in diverse sectors including healthcare, research, bioscience, and technology product development. He is also on the graduate faculty of the Division of Management at Oregon Health and Science University and was previously on executive staff at IBM.

Jeff’s background enables him to move easily from the boardroom to the front lines, bridging gaps in perspective while remaining firmly focused on practical business results. His hands-on program management experience ranges from start-ups to programs with budgets over $100M and worldwide cross-functional teams of over 100 members. Jeff teaches project and portfolio management topics in business settings and in OHSU’s graduate programs. He holds an M.Eng. degree and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®).
